Has anyone had any issues with the trigger on the 7px? I've noticed mine is really inconsistent with the percentage when I pull full throttle. It won't go to 100%, but reverse is perfect. I also notice while not touching the trigger there's movement on the screen for the servo view. Not alot, but it not neutral. Thanks

There was something posted a few pages back about a sort of soft limit at full throttle.
If you look up behind where the trigger presses at full throttle there is a small metal type tab, apparently it can be removed.
There also is mention about in the manual (can't recall the page) but someone was asking about it a few pages back on here.

has anyone used their 7px with sr and a compatible sbus servo? What is the real difference between t-fhss with a digital servo and sr with the sbus servo? I am trying to justify the price tag for the bls571sv...

i dont know the difference between a t-fhss, and SR because this is my first futaba radio, but i did keep my KO servos and used them when i got the radio. and coming from the ko servos.. to the new SR CB700 servos i am using now.. there was a considerable difference. This is in off-road mind you.. not to be rude.. but.. i find it weird that someone would would need to justify the price of a servo.. but.. yet.. not the radio. spend the money on a SR radio.. but then need to justify the price of a servo to use the radios full potential.

Hitec has several servos that are just as fast (and faster) as Futaba's SR servos...plus, their servos "play nice" with Futaba receivers. The same can be said of high-quality servos from other companies, but Hitec is a name I'm familiar with, from flying RC helos. My suggestion is, save your money...as you'll need it to buy additional Futaba receivers for those additional vehicles you know you'll end up buying.

i understand that... as i understand it.. any other brand servo is not SR compatible. And not programmable from the radio either. and with the latest update on the radio, you can now wirelessly update, and wirelessly program your servos as well.

SR is a mode that will work with so called narrow band servo's. Normal servo's have a center pulse width of 1.5 msec, narrow band 0.76 msec.
With those numbers a normal servo will work on a maximum framerate of 333Hz but in SR mode it has a framerate of 800Hz.
The maximum speed of 333Hz with normal servo's is only reached in SR mode (normal servo mode) Because there is no telemetry communication. In T-FHSS there is also telemetry data transmitted making the framerate somewhere arround 270Hz
0.76 msec or better known as 760 usec servo's are common used as a tail servo for RC helicopters because most gyro's spit out high speed signals for 760usec servo's. but most 760usec servo's can handle up to 500Hz framerate. So SR servo's are just 760usec - 800Hz servo's, the only other brand I have seen is Xpert with 800Hz servo's but they have no SBUS options which is basically not needed.

I need to justify the cost because I already have good Futaba digital servos. i.e. I don't have to buy new ones to run the cars I have. So it is just a cost, for what? If it is a considerable difference, then fine. I will buy the servo's, but if it isn't huge difference then the cost doesn't justify the performance. I make a finite amount of money, I have to pick and choose where it goes.

TC servo...
As I read through the posts it seems everyone has there preferences for Servos. Ill be investing in one servo for my TC. Im currently running the Reedy Servos which have been great. But in order to take the maximum ability of the 7PX, what would be considered the best servo?

I just got a 7px a few days ago and all my servos are the protek 160t and 160ss. So these servos are not compatible with the sr mode? What is the best low profile servo to buy? How much faster will sr mode be? Is it noticeable?

Hey guys, hopin you can help me out. I want to upgrade to the 7px but wont have the funds for some time. In the meantime do you know if my 4pksr is compatible with any of these new generation receivers? I want to atleast buy a new receiver for the time being. What is the most latest and greatest receiver my 4pksr can run until I can upgrade to 7px?
Thank you

You want the following below. I use the BLS571SV for TC.
Servos with SR Mode settings
- BLS671SV/SVi (FUTM0160)
- BLS571SV (FUTM0158)
- BLS471SV (FUTM0155)
- BLS371SV (FUTM0151)
- S9372SV (FUTM0728)
- S9373SV (FUTM0729)
- O.S Speed B1 (OSMM1300)
- O.S Speed R1 (OSMM1301)
- O.S. Speed T1 (OSMM1302)

Just 2 posts above yours
Futaba 7PX
SR requires so called narrow band servo's (760usec center) that can handle 800Hz frequency.

thanks for your help
so if I get rid of my protek 160t servo in favor of a Futaba BLS571SV servo for my 7px what real world difference will I feel or notice? I feel the specs on the protek 160t and 160ss servos are hard to beat.
