Never thought of switching back after switching from Futaba to Sanwa and most likely never will. I have had many radios including KO exrr to try and the M17is by far the best especially running sxr

Last year I went from the 4pkrs to the m17. The difference was night and day. The m17 was faster and a much more direct feel for the car
My lap times improved very soon after getting this radio.
Also if you look at the last ets a main mod, all drivers except for 1 were running sanwa. So that should also tell you something...
However, your futaba version is newer then the one I upgraded from so it's possible that you will not experience the massive difference I did.

I love my 7px. Many of the top drivers in the world use the 7px. Adam drake and spencer Rivkin are just a few that use the 7px. I highly doubt a m17 will change your lap times at all. Have you tried running your 7px in sr (super response mode) with a brushless futaba servo also set time sr mode? I’m that’s what I do and I believe it’s one of the faster setups on the market now. I run the futaba cb700 servos and set the servos in sr mode 3 with a futaba r334sb reciever also set in sr mode.

I have had both. Both are great radios but I like the M17 better. Lighter and more comfortable to hold. It really comes down to what you like the feel of. Both have great features so you can't go wrong with either. My suggestion is to get both in your hand and go with whatever feels the most comfortable. One other thing that I liked better was Sanwa has smaller receivers.

Look at the chassis focus at REDRC of the fast guys cars. Several fast guys aren't using special SR/SSR servo's but even plain cheap Savox. I do think the difference will be noticed but I do not think it is really needed.

for me I ran on the clock in different modes and every time was faster on the new Sanwa SXR download mode. I have never felt so connected with my car but also the pro performance servo I have it paired with is amazing and plays a role. When I tried the sanwa version of sxr servo it was not as good. Something about the pro performance servo makes it feel absolutely amazing I just ordered more for the rest of my entire fleet

thansk heaps!
Im not sure if this is true but I heard that sr mode 3 was the fastest and sr mode 1 was the slowest and that only the ct700 and cb700 could use sr mode 3 and that older servos like the Bls571sv could only use sr mode 1.
I current use sr mode 3 on my cars with the ct700 and cb700 servo and I use sr mode 1 with my cars that use the Bls571sv. I have not tried to use sr mode 3 with Bls571sv
