Required Materials to make a Beacon
In Minecraft, these are the materials you can use to craft a beacon:
How to craft a Beacon in Survival Mode
1. Open the Crafting Menu
First, open your crafting table so that you have the 3x3 crafting grid that looks like this:
2. Add Items to make a Beacon
In the crafting menu, you should see a crafting area that is made up of a 3x3 crafting grid. To make a beacon, place 5 glass, 1 nether star, and 3 obsidian in the 3x3 crafting grid.
When making a beacon, it is important that the glass, nether star, and obsidian are placed in the exact pattern as the image below. In the first row, there should be 3 glass. In the second row, there should be 1 glass in the first box, 1 nether star in the second box, and 1 glass in the third box. In the third box, there should be 3 obisidian. This is the Minecraft crafting recipe for a beacon.
Now that you have filled the crafting area with the correct pattern, the beacon will appear in the box to the right.
3. Move the Beacon to Inventory
Once you have crafted a beacon, you need to move the new item to your inventory.
Congratulations, you have made a beacon in Minecraft!
